What is
.Lifes
Greatest Question?
Lifes Greatest Question is: Do you know
for sure that if you were to die today you would go to heaven? Do you
know where you will spend eternity?
God says in His Word, The Bible, that you can KNOW!
| The Bible says: |
| These things have I
written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of
God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. |
|
I John 5:13 KJV
|
|
If you are not sure where you will spend
eternity, you can know today.
The following facts can give you assurance of eternal life
FACT #1:
EVERY PERSON NEEDS TO RECEIVE ETERNAL
LIFE!
Why?
Because we have ALL sinned against
God.
1. Sin is the act of breaking
one of God's laws,
and everyone has broken one of God's laws.
| The Bible says: |
| For all have sinned and come short
of the glory of God. |
|
Romans 3:23 KJV
|
|
2. Sin separates us
from God.
| The Bible says: |
| But your iniquities (sins) have separated
between you and your God... |
|
Isaiah 59:2 KJV
|
|
Sin means making mistakes.
No one is perfect, and each of us do things that we should not do.
| The Bible says: |
| For whosoever shall keep the whole
law, and yet offend in one point (break one rule), he is guilty
of all. |
|
James 2:10 KJV
|
|
Gods standard is perfection,
and we have all made mistakes. (Remember,no one is perfect.)
FACT #2
GOD LOVES SINFUL PEOPLE AND
HAS PROVIDED
ONE WAY TO RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE.
Gods way to heaven is not by Religion
(church membership),
Ritual (baptism),
Righteousness (doing your best),
or Works (volunteering work for your church or ministry)
Gods
way to heaven is Jesus!
| The Bible says: |
| Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among
men, whereby we must be saved. |
|
Acts 4:12 KJV
|
| |
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but
by me. |
|
John 14:6 KJV
|
|
THE EQUATION OF SALVATION:
Jesus Death
+ His Resurrection
= Full Payment for my sin
When Christ died
and arose from the grave,
He paid the penalty for ALL our sins.
This makes it possible for
everyone including you to receive eternal life.
However, just because Jesus
died on the cross, this does not mean that you are automatically saved.
YOU MUST BELIEVE FOUR THINGS:
|
1)You must
believe in Jesus Christ |
| 2) You must believe
that Jesus died on the cross for you |
| 3) You must believe
that Jesus can save you from all of your sins |
| 4) You must believe
that salvation through Jesus will give you eternal life |
FACT #3
YOU MAY RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE
NOW
BY
FOLLOWING THESE STEPS:
1. You must recognize
that eternal life is a GIFT from God
through His Son, Jesus Christ:
| The Bible says: |
| For the wages of sin is death; but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
|
|
Romans 6:23 KJV
|
|
You can only have the gift
of eternal life by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. You must
realize that to receive this gift,
you must turn from your sin to Christ,
and
ask Jesus into your life,
admit your need (you are a sinner),
and be
willing to turn from your sin (repent).
Repentance is turning away from
your sin
and turning toward Jesus Christ.
| The Bible says: |
|
Repent
ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out... |
|
Acts 3:19 KJV
|
|
3. Receive Jesus Christ
personally into your life
by inviting Him into your heart.
| The Bible says: |
| Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door
(of your heart), and knock: if any man hear my voice, and
open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup (live)
with him, and he with me. |
|
Revelation 3:20 KJV
|
|
THE KEY QUESTION:
Is There
Any Reason You Could Give God,
That God Would Accept,
As To Why You
Cannot
Ask Jesus Christ Into Your Life
Right Now?
If You Will Pray This Prayer,
Jesus Will Come Into Your Life
RIGHT NOW.
Lord Jesus,
I am a sinner and
need to be saved.
I admit that I cannot save myself.
I accept your death
and resurrection
as payment for my sin.
I repent of my sin and turn to You.
I open the
door of my heart
and invite you to come in.
Thank you Jesus,
for hearing
my prayer,
saving me
and giving me eternal life.
In your Name I pray.
Amen.
Does this prayer express
the desire of your heart?
If it does, pray it right now!
The Lord Jesus
will instantly save you.
| The Bible says: |
| That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. |
|
Romans 10:9 KJV
|
|
This verse is a promise
from God, and you can count on God to keep His Promises!
How Can I Be Sure God has Given
Me Eternal Life?
Did I mean what I
just said to God in prayer?
Did I confess that I am a sinner and repent of my sin?
Did I call upon the Lord to come into my heart?
If You Can Say Yes
To These Questions,
Then, Based Upon Gods Word,
You Can Be Sure
That You Have Eternal Life.
Why? Because God keeps His
Word.
| The Bible says: |
| Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that believeth on me hath everlasting life. |
|
John 6:47 KJV
|
| |
| For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. |
|
Romans 10:13 KJV
|
| |
| These things have I written unto you
that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know
that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the
name of the Son of God. |
|
I John 5:13 KJV
|
|
God Said It! I Did
It! That Settles It!
You do not need
to do anything else for your salvation.
The statements
after this are things you should do as a result of your salvation
but do not add to it.
Salvation is by faith in Christ alone.
(Note: This is not the end of the Christian
life, it is only the beginning!)

Now That I Have Prayed
To Receive Christ,
What Does God Expect Of Me?
Your
new life in Christ is an
exciting one
and one filled with
New and wondrous things
that God has in store for you.
1. Make your profession of
faith in Jesus Christ public
by following Jesus in believers baptism
by immersion.
Why be baptized by immersion?
A. Jesus commands it. It is the first step
of obedience to Him.
| The Bible says: |
| Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Ghost: |
|
Matthew 28:19 KJV
|
|
B. Jesus was baptized to set
an example.
Jesus was baptized (by John the Baptist) and God was well
pleased.
|
The Bible says: |
| And Jesus, when he was baptized, went
up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were
opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like
a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven,
saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
|
|
Matthew 3:16-17 KJV
|
|
If it pleased God when Jesus was baptized,
how do you think it will make God feel
when you get baptized?
C. Baptism pictures the death, burial
and resurrection of Gods Son.
| The Bible says: |
| Know ye not, that so many of us as
were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of
the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
|
|
Romans 6:3-4 KJV
|
|
D. It is the first step of
a New Christian
| The Bible says: |
| Then they that gladly received his
word were baptized: |
|
Acts 2:41 KJV
|
|
(Note: Baptism is to
be after salvation, not before.)
2. Get actively involved
in a local New Testament,
King James Bible-believing church.
| The Bible says: |
| Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another:
and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. |
|
Hebrews 10:25 KJV
|
| |
| For where two or three are gathered
together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. |
|
Matthew 18:20 KJV
|
|
3. Read your
Bible, beginning with the gospel of John,
pray, and share Jesus with
others who need Him.
Sin will keep you from the Bible,
or the Bible
will keep you from sin!
| The Bible says: |
| Thy word (Bible) have I hid in mine
heart, that I might not sin against thee. |
|
Psalm 119:11 KJV
|
|
|
